Last year we decided to add a Countryside Ring to our attractions. It offered an opportunity to get up close and personal with a variety of popular country pursuits. It proved to be very popular and we will once again have a Countryside Ring, it is a smaller, more intimate ring, where you can sit down and enjoy the expertise in our wonderful displays. Feel free to get involved and ask questions. Make the most of the chance to pick the brains of some of the most experienced countrymen available.

Master netsman Brian demonstrates the ancient art of long-netting. He learnt his craft from a renowned poacher - Obadiah Cole. Long Netting is one of the most ancient ways of controlling rabbits which cause untold damage to crops, trees and gardens. Considered by many to be the most efficient and humane ways of achieving this. Brian will use intrepid toy rabbits to put the nets to good use. Whether his terriers will co-operate is anyone's guess! Brian will be available throughout the day on his stand in the Living Working Countryside area to answer any questions and let you have a try at Long Netting yourself.
