Welcome to the 26th Frampton Country Fair. Our Silver jubilee last year saw thousands of people learning about all that is best in the countryside, at the same time raising money for local and countryside-related charities and good causes.
In June, as part of the Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust's 50th Anniversary Celebrations, the Trust held a joint event in the House of Commons hosted by MP's for Gloucester and Cheltenham. Under the title "Nature Works", several businesses in the County were singled out for awards and I am delighted to report that Frampton Court Estate was most honoured to have received the award for "Exceptional Commitment by a Gloucestershire Small Business to Nature". Well done to all our Estate team and also to the various organisations that use the Estate, many of which have will have stands at this year's Country Fair.
In October, our neighbours in Arlingham, the Burcher family, are hosting the National Hedgelaying Championships at Warth Farm. This is a rare chance in the county to visit this prestigious event. Don't miss it!
To reflect our thanks and respect for our armed forces engaged globally, we will be welcoming The Corps of Drums, Glos ACF by kind permission of Col L C A Ranson TD into the Main Ring for the first time. Their enthusiasm and expertise as young soldiers is to be applauded.
My family hope that you will all enjoy what we have on offer this year.
